AN ASSAULT WITH A BASEBALL BAT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday morning, accused of assaulting a man with a baseball bat. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 10:30 Saturday morning, another man drove a trailer filled with items belonging to the wife of Joshua Myers, 28, to the 6000 block of Cahuilla Avenue in Twentynine Palms. When the other man started unloading the items, Myers and the man started arguing; the man told police Myers shouted at him and spit on his windshield. Myers is then accused of hitting the man with an aluminum baseball bat, cutting and bruising him on the arm and cheek. Joshua Myers was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
