A Running Springs man was arrested Saturday, accused of reckless driving. About 12:40 p.m., a Sheriff’s deputy saw a black Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound on Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms at a high rate of speed. The driver, later identified as Raymond Lindley, 43, was weaving in and out of traffic at speeds up to 80 miles per hour. Lindley also allegedly ran two red traffic lights. When the deputy attempted to pass the Cherokee, Lindley turned his SUV toward the deputy’s patrol car. Deputies were able to make a high-risk traffic stop at Highway 62 and Rotary Way in Joshua Tree, where Raymond Lindley was arrested for reckless driving and for violating the terms of this post-release community supervision probation. Lindley was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held with no bail.
