A Joshua Tree man was arrested late Wednesday night after threatening his mother and his ex-girlfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 5 p.m. deputies were called about an argument in the 4500 block of Avenida del Sol. The caller said Thomas Pratt, 20, was angry and yelling and grabbed a kitchen knife before leaving, saying he was going to get his EBT card from his former girlfriend in the 6100 block of Sunburst Avenue. His ex-girlfriend told deputies that Pratt called her about 8 p.m. and threatened her and their 2-year-old daughter, and said he was going to slash the tires on his mother’s car. The woman told deputies she feared for her life and the safety of her child. Then shortly before 11:30 p.m., deputies were called again to the 4500 block of Avenida del Sol. After an investigation, Thomas Pratt was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000 and on a DUI warrant.
