A Bloomington man was arrested in Twentynine Palms early Tuesday morning after he was found sitting in a stolen vehicle. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Mark Robles was checking vehicles in the Motel 6 parking lot in Twentynine Palms about 3:45 a.m. when he saw that a beige SUV had an expired registration. A records check of the vehicle showed that it had been reported stolen in the city of Highland. Sitting inside the SUV was Scott McMillan, 50. McMillan had an arrest warrant related to the stolen vehicle and was also on felony probation for evading a police officer and other cases of vehicle theft. Scott McMillan was arrested for investigation of vehicle theft, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000.
