AN ARREST FOR A YUCCA VALLEY BURGLARY

Morongo Basin detectives, with assistance from Los Angeles police officers, arrested a 33-year-old man Wednesday who was found with electronic items that had been stolen in a Yucca Valley burglary. The burglary had been reported on February 24 by a resident from whose home multiple electronic items had been stolen. During the investigation, Morongo Basin detectives identified Enrique Martinez of Los Angeles as a suspect. A search warrant was served Wednesday on the suspect’s home where detectives found 130 stolen iPads, iPhones, laptop computers, tablets, and other electronic items. Martinez was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and booked into the West Valley Detention Center from where he was released on bail 12 hours later. Detectives are working on identifying the owners of all the stolen property.
