AN ARREST FOR A WEAPONS AND ELDER ABUSE IN JOSHUA TREE

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Saturday night on multiple charges after deputies served a search warrant on his home. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Wilson, deputies went to the home of Joseph Hudspeth, 36, in the 4700 block of Avenida del Sol, about 8 p.m. Saturday to search for evidence in an elder abuse case. During their search, they found brass knuckles and financial evidence linking Hudspeth to the elder abuse case. Joseph Hudspeth was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon, elder abuse, and theft. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and released on bail about 1:45 a.m. Monday morning.
