AN ARREST AFTER THREAT WITH AN AXE ALLEGED

A Joshua Tree man was arrested early Saturday morning after his landlord said he threatened him with an axe. According to a Sheriff’s report, the landlord called about 3:30 p.m. Friday to report that one of his tenants, Eric Eddington, 25, was threatening to kill him with a double-sided axe in the 61800 block of Chollita Road in Joshua Tree. Eddington had fled the scene when deputies arrived, but he was located just before 5 a.m. Saturday. Eric Eddington was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
