AN ARREST AFTER AN APPARENT ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

In an apparent road rage incident, a Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Friday after she followed another woman in her car for 13 miles and threatened to beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim accidentally honked her horn while she was near Highway 62 and Lear Avenue in Twentynine Palms. The honking caught the attention of Victoria Cooks, 35, who told the victim she was going to beat her up. The victim drove to the Sheriff’s station in Joshua Tree, where a deputy stopped Cooks’ vehicle. The report states that Cooks made spontaneous statements saying she was going to beat up the other woman if she stopped her vehicle. Victoria Cooks was arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
