AN ARREST AFTER A MAN TRIES TO SELL A STOLEN TRAILER TO ITS RIGHTFUL OWNER

An Arizona man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly tried to sell a stolen trailer back to the owner. According to a Sheriff’s report, the trailer’s owner saw her trailer parked on a corner at Sunburst Avenue and Highway 62 in Joshua Tree and listed as being for sale. The owner called and James McClosky, 59, of Bullhead City, came to the location to sell her the trailer just after 2 p.m. Sunday. McClosky admitted to being in possession of the vehicle, but denied any knowledge that it was stolen. James McClosky was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
