A Yucca Valley man was arrested late Monday night, accused of robbing a home in Landers. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 600 block of Ripon Avenue in Landers just after 11 p.m. for an armed robbery in progress. Dispatchers could hear shouting and a struggle. One of the victims said he was hit with a baseball bat. Deputies located the suspect, Junior Ballard, 22, in the 55800 block of Flamingo Road in Landers. Junior Ballard, who is on felony parole, was arrested for investigation of armed robbery, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail.
