A Joshua Tree man was injured after he accidentally shot himself Monday. About 10:25 a.m., paramedics from Morongo Basin Ambulance were called to the Dry Lake Bed off Sunfair Avenue in Joshua Tree. A 46-year-old man had been target shooting with friends and had shot himself in the hip while holstering his .22-caliber pistol. The unidentified man was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs where he was treated and released.
