A structure fire led to to the explosion of live ammunition on Friday morning (September 20)
At around 10 a.m., San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to a report off of El Dorado in Yucca Valley. Upon arrival crews found a detached garage that was well involved with fire with an immediate exposure to the main residence which was a duplex. Crews also had live ammunition that was popping from the exposure of fire.
Both residences were evacuated, and the fire was quickly knocked down with only minor heat damage to the complex.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
