A special meeting of the ad hoc committee of the Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council on the Alta Mira residential project planned for Joshua Tree, next to Friendly Hills Elementary School, has been called for Friday, January 30, at 1 p.m. Project developer will update the committee on the planned 248-unit gated community, including recent discussions with the school district, water district, Center for Biological Diversity, and efforts to manage traffic patterns. The Committee will then discuss what recommendations to bring to the full MAC. The meeting is open to the public, and will be held in the first floor probation conference room in the County building on the highway in Joshua Tree.
