Yucca Valley firefighters were also called to All Star Burgers in Yucca Valley early Sunday morning. County Fire Captain Jay Dimoff said passers-by called 911 at 12:53 a.m. to report the restaurant was filled with smoke. When firefighters arrived, the smoke had filled the restaurant almost to the floor. Firefighters found a small fire inside the kitchen, where it appeared discarded rags with a cleaning solvent on them had combusted. Dimoff said the smoke damage to the restaurant was quite extensive, estimated at $30,000 to $35,000. The Ground Control Hobby store next door appeared to escape smoke damage, but some smoke had gone through the vents into the Kidz Closet store on the other side.
