Why does the grade of most precious metal mines decrease with depth?” If the topic of gold mining interests you, or you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, then the Second Friday Lecture Series at the Old Schoolhouse Museum is right for you. These questions along with many others will be answered by D.D. Trent in his captivating lecture about gold mining. Trent has been an oil company geologist and involved in other geological projects since 1955 and has carried out extensive field research in many different states. With his impressive and extensive knowledge on the topic, all of your craziest and most intriguing questions will be answered. This lecture takes place on May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum on National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms and there is a $5 cost at the door.
