A local artist will have his work on display at Pie for the People in Joshua Tree. Alan Powell, a painter whose work can be described as abstract expressionist influenced by a local desert color palette, will be showing his paintings through December 3. Pie for the People is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and is located at 61740 29 Palms Highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
