Prior to tonight’s regular meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will hold a strategic planning session where residents can identify, discuss, and prioritize key concerns and issues. The council can then develop strategies to address the most important issues. Here with highlights from tonight’s meeting agenda is managing editor Tami Roleff…
Among the items on tonight’s agenda of the Yucca Valley Town Council, council members will hear an update on the Desert Regional Tourism Agency. Among the items on the consent agenda, the council will set a date for a hearing for its proposal to sell the old gas station at 55460 29 Palms Highway and approve an amendment to contracts for Action Pumping to connect to the town’s new sewer system. The council will also introduce an ordinance governing sidewalk vendors, be asked to approve a request for $15,000 for the rodeo for Grubstake Days; and approve a letter that opposes the placement of a sexually violent predator in Joshua Tree. The strategic planning session starts at 5 p.m. and the regular meeting will start at 6. Both will be held in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
