Director/actor/writer/teacher Denis McCourt is an Equity and SAG member with both a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and a Master of Fine Arts in acting. Originally from New York City, he has made his way to Coachella Valley via LA where he worked with the Long Beach Theatre Company, the LA campus of the NY Film Academy and created the Public Theatre of Southern California. He’s currently teaching theater at the McCallum Theatre. He has taught students in virtually every corner of the world and is now offering workshops at Theatre 29. For elementary students “After School Theatre Games;” for teens, “Bringing All of You to the Ensemble;” as well as “Acting Technique” classes for adults. Register now to become the most authentic dynamic performer you can be.
All workshops include four classes. Classes are held Mondays from April 1 through 22 with elementary kids from 4 to 5 PM, teens from 2:30 to 4 PM, and adults from 5 to 6 PM. Workshop fees are $45 for elementary students, $60 for teens and $75 for adults.
