Copper Mountain College is being visited by college administrators and faculty for the second phase of the college’s accreditation process, which included last night’s open forum. Reporter Eric Knabe was there and has the details…
Copper Mountain College held an open forum last night with the accreditation team from the Accrediting Commission of Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). The discussion was opened to questions and comments and the commentary about the college was detailed and all positive. There is a metric used to assess colleges up for accreditation; each college has different needs and the standards used are based how well student needs are met and the best practices involved. The result of this visit will be an external evaluation team report, which along with the CMC’s self-evaluation report will be sent to the Commission for accreditation approval.
For those who missed last night’s forum, there will be an additional forum held today (3/5/19) at 10 a.m. at the Bell Center Community Room.
