“THE ACCIDENTAL ARTIST” AT THE OLD SCHOOLHOUSE MUSEUM TOMORROW

The 29 Palms Historical society will present a lecture Friday night about “The Accidental Artist”. Reporter Taylor Thacker explains…….
The 29 Palms Historical Society presents the story of Ricardo Breceda, the accidental artist. Ten short years ago, Breceda was an injured construction worker making a living selling boots. Now, his famous and metal sculptures are found across the globe, from Canada to Australia with over 125 scattered through Borrego Valley, including his bighorn sheep sculptures which adorn the intersection of Highway 62 and National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms. Join biographer and photographer Diana Lindsey as she recounts how Breceda became a renowned artist with no previous art training or even an interest in art. This event takes place on Friday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum in 29 Palms. There will be an optional dinner with the speaker at 5:00 p.m. at the 29 Palms Inn. Space is limited so sign up now! For more information, or to sign up, call 760-361-1202.
