A WIN FOR COPPER MOUNTAIN COLLEGE BASKETBALL

The Fighting Cacti of Copper Mountain jumped out to blazing start in the opening game of the Mt. San Jacinto College tournament against a solid College of the Canyons team, winning 98-68. Coach Devin Aye said it was a collective team effort from start to finish that allowed the Fighting Cacti to a win, improving to 9-1 on the year. The CMC men’s team is back in action tomorrow night at 7 p.m. as they advance to the second round of Mt. San Jacinto Tournament.

Jailen Moore lead all scorers with 23 points on the night. Tre’Von Bentley and Ronald Bell both added 12 pts and Rosemond Alexis and Steven McNease chipped in 10 apiece.
