At the Morongo Basin 24th Annual Orchid Festival, October 5 and 6, greenhouse tours starting at 10 a.m. will be offered every 30 minutes.
In addition to a Chaparral Artists’ juried art show, classes on orchid growing and design are offered, as well an orchid show judged by the American Orchid Society. Also introduced new this year, the first ever “orchid beer.” Yucca Valley High School Jazz Band will entertain, and a bounce house will be open for younger guests. Proceeds from all festival sales will be distributed to over 20 non-profit groups represented, and Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary projects. Admission and parking are free.
The festival held at Gubler Orchids in Landers will run Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
