On May 13 at 1 p.m. the Hi-Desert Nature Museum will host a lecture on famed U.S. General George S. Patton. This Zoom lecture covers the life and military career of General Patton and the Desert Training Center he launched just 30 miles east of Indio. While General Patton was only at the Desert Training Center for the first four months of its existence, his influence was felt until its closing in 1944. Learn about this larger-than-life leader of men whom the Germans most feared as a battlefield commander.
