Two events are slated at Rainbow Stew in Yucca Valley today. First, at 2 p.m., Charla Shamhart, herbalist and nutritional consultant, will offer a talk about iodine. There is no charge, but donation are accepted. Then at 4 p.m., Bill-Michael Shamhart and Angela Rainstar will host the Yucca Valley flute circle, which focuses on the Native American wooden flute. You don’t need to know how to play the flute or even how to read music to participate. All levels from beginners to experienced flute players are welcome. Rainbow Stew is located at 55509 29 Palms Highway, across from Dollar General, in Yucca Valley.
