A group of enthusiastic students and teachers from Condor Elementary School were present this week to receive a grant check in the amount of $15,000 from California State Treasurer Fiona Ma. Condor Elementary School applied for California’s ScholarShare 529 Scholar Dollars award program in March and received enough votes in the program to tie for first place in their size category.
The $15,000 Scholar Dollars grant will be used to fund extracurricular programs at the school that enrich students’ experiences and teach students the importance of attending and saving for higher education.
