Seniors who pick up meals at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center will be in for a special treat today. Julie Sarmiento of Palm Desert solicited donations of oranges, grapefruit, and lemons from residents in the Low Desert and was overwhelmed with the response. She brought a car full of the citrus to Reach Out Morongo Basin in Twentynine Palms, and the fruit will be distributed to seniors along with their weekly meal deliveries on today.
