At its meeting last week, the Twentynine Palms Cemetery District board of trustees selected the new chair and vice chair, and said good-bye to two board members. Carey Alderson was named the new chair and Rebeca Rinkes is the new vice chair. Leaving the board are April Gibson and Betty Laferriere. The board currently has two vacant seats. Anyone interested in serving on the cemetery board, which meets the last Thursday of the month to set policy and conduct the business of the cemetery district, should call 760-367-9316.
