Head’s up, property owners! This is your helpful reminder that the property tax deadline looms on the horizon. Reporter Heather Clisby has more details…
Monday, December 10; take note of that date to avoid that 10 percent penalty fee. The San Bernardino County Tax Collector’s office is reminding property owners that the first installment of property taxes are due Monday, December 10.
There are many ways to pay: online, by phone, via mail, and for that old-fashioned feeling, in person. To access the online payment option, visit MyTaxCollector.com. To pay by phone, call 909-387-8308 or 760-241-8829. Mailed payments should be addressed to the Tax Collector’s Office at 268 West Hospitality Lane, First Floor, San Bernardino, 92415-0360. Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before the December 10 deadline date.
To pay in person, visit the Tax Collector’s Office during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Property Tax Payment Center located at the High Desert Government Center, 15900 Smoke Tree Street in Hesperia, is also open from November 30 to December 10. Only checks and credit card payments will be accepted at this location. For faster service, bring a copy of your tax bill.
Credit card payments are also accepted though they include a convenience fee. Property owners can also go paper-less and enroll online to receive property tax bills directly to their email.
Remember, December 10!
