Last night’s meeting of Morongo Basin Healthcare District began with a pleasant surprise from Hi-Desert Medical Center Auxiliary President Shirley Lundquist. Lundquist presented the board with a $5,000 donation for the Lift Transportation Service.
The Board was then asked to accept or reject the lowest bid to renovate the Split Rock medical buildings. Because the lowest bid was $1,294,676, the board decided it would be more cost effective to complete the renovation with district staff and the bid was rejected. The Board did approve the funding for a much needed new fence and flooring for the Split Rock property.
