A PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE TOMORROW

0

Two weeks after a lunar eclipse, a partial solar eclipse will be visible in the Morongo Basin Thursday (Oct 23) afternoon. Starting at about 12:38, the moon will travel between the Earth and the sun, and cast its shadow on the sun. In the Morongo Basin, roughly 40 percent of the sun will be eclipsed. The maximum eclipse will be at 2:45, and the eclipse will end about 4:52. Never look directly into the sun, even with sunglasses, or through telephoto lens or binoculars, or a telescope.
