On October 30, Twentynine Palms Elementary School Principal Megan Pfau announced her resignation for personal reasons and Assistant Principal Robin Hill-Davidson (Mrs. HD) stepped in as interim principal. On Friday, December 18, the school district officially appointed Hill-Davidson as the new principal of Twentynine Palms Elementary School.
Hill-Davidson is in her 23rd year in education and has served 14 years as an administrator. Hill-Davidson stated she is looking forward to continuing work and getting to know students, parents, staff, and the community even more.
Robin Hill-Davidson (Mrs. HD), Ed. S., has served as Assistant Principal for Twentynine Palms Elementary School, as well as, Oasis Elementary school over the past year. She has served most recently as a middle school and an elementary principal for four years in South Carolina, as well as seven years as an assistant principal. Hill-Davidson also spent two years as a district office administrator, and previously taught for more than nine years.
“I am ecstatic to be the new principal at Twentynine Palms Elementary School,” said Hill-Davidson. “I am looking forward to continuing our work together, and getting to know our students, parents, staff and community even better, as we move into the next phase of our journey together. I will work to ensure TPES is one of the premier schools in the district, county and state. I will continue to work collaboratively with the amazingly talented staff at TPES to make sure every child at our school has what he or she needs academically, behaviorally, socially and emotionally.”
As a spouse of a former Marine who trained in Twentynine Palms, the daughter of a two-time Bronze Star recipient from Vietnam, the mother of a military child and the mother-in-law of a current military National Guardsmen, military families are near and dear to the heart of Hill-Davidson.
Hill-Davidson continued, “I truly look forward to several years of working together with families and encourage them to reach out to me.”
