A NEW COUNTY FIRE BATTALION CHIEF COMING TO THE MORONGO BASIN

County Battalion Cheif Mike McClintock

A year after the Morongo Basin’s County Fire Battalion Chief Mike Snow retired, the Morongo Basin will finally be assigned a permanent third battalion chief. Newly promoted Battalion Chief Mike McClintock will take over the third shift that has, for the last year, been covered by chiefs who have rotated in from other areas in the county. McClintock was promoted and assigned to Division 4, Battalion 7 on February 16. He has been working for County fire for 14 years; his last assignment was with the city of Upland. While McClintock has not served in the Morongo Basin before, he says he is excited to work with Battalion Chiefs Scott Tuttle and Donnie Viloria, and he’s looking forward to new challenges here. McClintock and his wife Megan and two children live in Yucaipa.

Interim County Fire Chief Don Trapp, and Deputy Chief John Chamberlin flank newly promoted Battalion Chief Mike McClintock.
