A NEW APP TO REPORT COUNTY CODE VIOLATIONS

1

What should you do when you discover illegal dumping, animal hoarding, a fire hazard or any number of other county code violations at a nearby property? If you live in the unincorporated areas of the county, the answer is to contact county code enforcement. Reporter Mike Lipsitz brings us this tip on the best way to do that…
Time was a call to county code enforcement was the recommended way to get prompt action, but that was then; nowadays, the best way to get accurate and complete information to county’s busy Department of Code Enforcement is via their app, SBCode. For smartphone and tablet users, the SBCode app provides a direct path to Code Enforcement; using it will help speed up any code enforcement actions. The easy-to-use app is available on both Android and iPhones. It will register your complaint, along with a photo you take, and GPS coordinates. The app is only available for the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. Anyone wishing to report a problem within Yucca Valley or Twentynine Palms should stick with a phone call. Otherwise download SBCode from the app store or where ever you get your apps.
To contact code enforcement in the Town of Yucca Valley call 760-369-6575; for the City of Twentynine Palms, call 760-367-6799 extension 1010.
