The Steak n Shake restaurant, set to go in by Home Depot, is still in plan check. The plans for the Arby’s restaurant have been approved. No plans have been submitted for the addition to the Social Security building in Yucca Valley. The former Jerry’s restaurant will be called Little Italy, and the owners have started demolition and construction should begin in the very near future. Harbor Freight held its soft opening Tuesday, with a grand opening set for February 10. Hawk’s Ridge housing development is in staff review. The developer of Sage Estates is performing erosion control measures. Mesquite 55 has four homes under construction. There is no activity at Desert Vista Village, and progress at IHOP is moving forward very slowly. And a kebab restaurant is interested in a location between Church Street and Bannock Trail.
