Author and retired Superintendent Mark Jorgensen of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park presents “Desert Bighorn Sheep: Wilderness Icon” at Morongo Basin Historical Society’s second Wednesday lecture series. Jorgensen will discuss the natural history of desert bighorn sheep’s amazing adaptations to the desert environment; a book signing will follow with over 200 rare photographs by Jeff Young. The lecture starts 5:30 Wednesday, June 13 at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley and admission is $5.
