A Running Springs man was arrested in Yucca Valley Friday afternoon, after he threatened a man. Deputies say that Steven Barnett, 29, burglarized a home in the 56600 block of Antelope Trail, but had a change of heart and returned most of the items to the victim. Barnett then returned to the house with a mutual friend about 3 p.m., where the victim said Barnett brandished a knife and lunged at him with the open blade. The victim said he thought Barnett was going to stab him and was in fear. Deputies located Steven Barnett, who was on parole, and he was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, and on parole violations, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
