Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a burglary and hit and run crash in the Flamingo Heights neighborhood north of Yucca Valley Monday. About 1 p.m., a neighbor in the 56300 block of Moonstone Road noticed an unknown white Toyota 4Runner in his neighbor’s driveway. He knew the neighbors were not home and that the car was not theirs. The neighbor saw someone look out the window, and so he parked his vehicle behind the 4Runner to block it in the driveway. A man, identified only as a blond white male with a beard, and woman, left the house and got into their car. The neighbor said they hit his car as they left the driveway. The neighbor followed them on dirt roads until Winters Road until he lost them. He told deputies the 4Runner had an exhaust leak and was very loud. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
