A FLURRY OF BURGLARIES IN YUCCA VALLEY

Burglars hit at least seven homes and businesses in Yucca Valley over the weekend. According to a Sheriff’s report, burglars stole tools and an iPod from unlocked vehicles in the 7400 block of San Remo Trail and 54400 block of Pinon Drive, and a golf cart from the Travelodge sometime Saturday night. A wallet and miscellaneous items were also reported stolen Sunday morning from an unlocked car in the 7300 block of Dumosa Avenue, and Hart Family Dental, in the 56700 block of 29 Palms Highway had rocks thrown through its south window, although nothing was reported missing from the dental practice. A black tablet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 54000 block of Ridge Road. Also reported Monday morning, the law office of Jenny Doling had a window broken on the south side of the building, with nothing reported missing inside, and a vehicle in the 56300 block of Pima Trail had paint thinner thrown on the engine hood. The Sheriff’s Department reminds residents to lock their vehicles and don’t leave valuables inside vehicles, even if the vehicles are locked.
