The Twentynine Palms Historical Society received a $2,500 check last week from the Lamplighter Foundation. The money matched the funds raised from the Historical Society’s inaugural Desert Chic Wine and Cheese social event held earlier this year. The money will be used toward the Historical Society’s planned addition of a multipurpose room to the Old Schoolhouse Museum.
