A Joshua Tree woman was arrested Saturday morning following an argument with her ex-boyfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, Roberta Alldis, 25, of the 64900 block of Tonto Drive, began arguing with her ex-boyfriend about 10 a.m., and called deputies for help after he grabbed her cell phone and threw it to the ground, breaking it. The man fled before deputies arrived. During the investigation, deputies determined that Alldis had a $100,000 warrant for her arrest for child abuse, after a child tested positive for amphetamines at Hi-Desert Medical Center in June. Roberta Alldis was arrested on her warrant, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, and was arraigned Monday in a Joshua Tree court room for willful cruelty to a child resulting in injury.
