A celebration of the animals and plants that inhabit the Copper Mountain Mesa area is set for Saturday, December 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Mojave Desert Land Trust and Stewards of the Coyote Valley, the event will include lectures on desert tortoises, medicinal uses of native plants, and the Joshua Tree north wildlife corridor. The celebration is free, and all are welcome to attend at the Copper Mountain Mesa Community Center, 65336 Winters Road.
