The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at a cigarette shop in Yucca Valley early Friday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, a burglar alarm in the 56800 block of 29 Palms Highway was activated at 3:49 a.m. Video surveillances showed two suspects walked up to the front door and one smashed the glass with a rock. One suspect entered the store and placed about 20 cartons of Marlboro Gold cigarettes into a plastic bag he had brought with him. He is described as wearing a dark color sweatshirt with light-colored shoulder pads, a face mask, light-colored gloves, and light-colored pants. The other suspect was also wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with light-colored shoulder pads, a face mask, and dark colored pants.
