A National Park Service memorial project over 30 years in the making has finally reached completion. Reporter Joshua King has more details…

Jeff Ohlfs, a retired Chief Ranger of the National Park Service and former Joshua Tree National Park Ranger, has committed to preserving and honoring the memories of the 260 employees of the National Park Service who have paid the ultimate sacrifice—having died on duty or in the line of duty. His efforts have finally come to fruition, as on the 104th anniversary of the National Park Service, NPSHistory.com released the NPS Employee Memorial. Truly a labor of love, Ohlfs has spent over 30 years researching and honoring these individuals. Omissions and additions for the memorial may be sent to info@npshistory.com.
