Save the date for the 8th annual Oktoberfest celebration in Johnson Valley. The beer garden at the Johnson Valley Oktoberfest opens at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 7. There’ll be a section of craft and domestic beers, hard cider, plus a German buffet dinner including a dessert bar. Dinner is served at 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 and are available at johnsonvalley.com, or at the door. The Johnson Valley Community Center is at 50567 Quailbush Road. From Hwy 247 between mile markers 21 and 22, turn at the red sign, go 1-3/4 miles up Larrea (paved) to the corner of Quailbush Rd. and you’re there.
