89th Pioneer Days looking for ceremonial Judges and Sheriffs

Pioneer Days is seeking nominations for the celebration’s Judge and Sheriff roles. This year’s Pioneer Days celebration is the 89th annual event that commemorates the history of Twentynine Palms and the Judge and Sheriff are the ceremonial roles that lead the fun.
The City of Twentynine Palms says that these titles will recognize residents who reflect the spirit, service, and strength of Twentynine Palms. The Judge will be someone who embodies the “Spirit of Service,” while the Sheriff will represent a “Force for the Future.”
The nomination period runs August 1 to August 31, 2025. Nominees must be available to speak at the Toast to 250 Mixer on Thursday, October 16 at the Old Schoolhouse Museum and participate in the Pioneer Days Parade on Saturday, October 18 in downtown Twentynine Palms.
All nominations will be reviewed by the City of Twentynine Palms, which will make the final selection. City employees, Committee Members, Commissioners, and Councilmembers are not eligible for consideration.
