88th Pioneer Days Schedule of Events

The 88th annual Pioneer Days is Thursday through Sunday! Here’s a schedule of events:

Thursday, October 17th

6:00 – 8:00PM: The Mara Mixer from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the 29 Palms Inn. Meet this year’s grand marshals and mingle with delicious hors d’oeuvres, delightful desserts, and of course – a cash bar and a photo booth. Tickets are $30 each at the door.

Friday, October 18th

6:00 – 9:00PM: Due to today’s wind advisory, the event will now be held indoors at the Twentynine Palms Community Center (6547 Freedom Way)

An unforgettable glow-in-the-dark party with a laser light show backed by DJ extreme spinning energetic tunes, blacklights, neon and UV reactive face paint and all sorts of illuminating fun. Come decked out in your best neon and blacklight clothing  – the free event starts at 6:00 p.m and goes until 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, October 19th

7:00 – 11:00AM: Wake up early and head out to the Firefighter’s Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning at Fire Station 44 in Twentynine Palms.

10:00AM: The Pioneer Days Parade begins in downtown Twentynine Palms at 10:00 a.m. The parade will feature a variety of community entries, including cars, floats, marching groups, equestrians, and more! The route starts at the corner of Split Rock Avenue and Highway 62, traveling along the highway toward Adobe Road before heading north to Sun Valley Drive. 

11:30AM: Old Timers’ Gathering at the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. Meet Old Timer of the Year Vickie Waite!

2:00 – 8:00PM: Come back downtown from 2 to 8 for a day full of fun, music, and community spirit at the Frontier Fest, featuring a Block Party, the always-entertaining Outhouse Races, live music, and a variety of games and activities provided by local businesses. Plus, a rock climbing wall and trackless train will add to the fun! 

Sunday, October 20th

6:00AM: Sunrise Service hosted by Twentynine Palms Ministerial Association at Patriotic Hall (5882 Luckie Avenue)

9:30AM: The Pet Parade in Luckie Park hosted by Palms-N-Paws Animal Shelter

12:00 to 5:00PM: First Annual Pioneer Days Classic Car and Motorcycle Show

Live music by The Melancholy Babies
Food and Beer Garden

Pre-1985 cars and motorcycles can register at thehistoricplaza.org

6:00 – 10:00PM: Skate and Costume Contest at the Luckie Park Skatepark. Compete or watch the free contest with prizes, a costume contest open to everyone, free snacks and lots of fun until the sun goes down.
