The City of Twentynine Palms is getting ready for its 83rd Pioneer Days celebration to be held October 17-20 all over town. Thursday, October 17, is opening night at the carnival, held from 5 to 10 p.m., in Luckie Park. Visitors will enjoy a beer garden and live music by the Bill & Bob Blues Duo and the Mighty Cash Cats band. Meanwhile, the Little Miss and Master Pageant will take place at the Little Church of the Desert from 6 to 8 p.m. The following day, Friday, October 18, the carnival and beer garden fun returns to Luckie Park from 5 to 10 pm. The live music will be provided by Hunter & The Wick’d from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Daniel Bonte and the Bonafide from 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to save $10 and purchase an unlimited ride wristband for $25 through October 17 at the Twentynine Palms Bowladium, the Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation Office and the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center.
