83RD ANNUAL PIONEER DAYS CELEBRATION

The 83rd Pioneer Days Celebration in Twentynine Palms is this weekend at various locations throughout Twentynine Palms. Today is the firefighters’ pancake breakfast at the Twentynine Palms fire station, the parade, the Old Timers’ gathering at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, and the chili dinner at the 29 Palms Art Gallery, and don’t forget the carnival. On Sunday, October 20, The Twentynine Palms Ministerial Association will host a sunrise service at 6:00 am with a bonfire, biscuits and gravy, and coffee behind the Community Services Building, 74325 Joe Davis Drive. At 9 a.m., the Pet Parade hosted by the Palms and Paws animal shelter will be held at the Rotary Shelter in Luckie Park. The carnival will be open from noon to 10 pm. A gospel concert will take the main stage at Luckie Park at noon.  At 1 p.m., the Twentynine Palms Kiwanis Club will host a Lego Challenge at the Rotary Shelter in Luckie Park.
