An 83-year-old Joshua Tree woman shot herself when her gun misfired Friday afternoon. According to a Sheriff’s report, the woman, who lives in the 61400 block of Verbena Road, was trying to render her .38 revolver safe when she accidentally pulled the trigger. The bullet grazed her knee, causing a 2-inch long by quarter-inch deep wound. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
