Celebrating 81 years of quirky creations crafted out of desert flora, the 2021 Twentynine Palms Weed Show is scheduled for the weekend of November 6 and 7. Hosted by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society, this unique tradition will be held in Founders Hall at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, 6760 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms. Show hours will be noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (November 7).

This year’s theme, “What’s Next??”, invites participants to compose and craft their entries based on twelve distinctive categories utilizing local dried plant material and found objects. Winners will be selected for first, second and third place ribbons, in addition to Honorable Mention and Judges Choice. Attendees will be asked to cast votes for the highly coveted People’s Choice award which will be announced Sunday as the show concludes.
